The Raymond James Optimist Club will again be working the beer truck as a fundraiser next Friday, May 4 th , 20012 at First Friday, Get Downtown and we need your help! If you are not familiar with First Friday, on the first Friday of each month the city closes off Central Avenue between Second and Third streets and the Breakfast Optimist Club sets up a free jazz concert. There is a beer truck on site and the Optimists also sell wine, soft drinks and water. All merchants on lower Central do a land-office business during the concert which lasts from 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Vendors and other organizations set up booths to display their particular wares or interests.
